What can I say about these? The bits are well made, each with a semi ball ended hex shank. When chucked directly into the drill, they are spot on accurate, or at least within a thousandth of an inch accurate. No discernible runout from any of the bits.

The set consists of fractional bits in 1/16" increments up to 3/8", and a Speed Load bit holder all housed in a fairly well made plastic case.

Where the inaccuracy comes into play is with the whole Speed Load thing. The holder and bits click together in something akin to an air hose quick connector sort of fashion, and due to the nature of the setup, there is considerable slop in the entire assembly. When doing stuff like drilling pilot holes for a cable bracket to shore up a sagging gate, it's fine, but for fine woodworking projects, not so hot...

All in all, it's a workable system, as long as you understand its shortcomings. Ryobi would do well to figure out a way to make the connection between bit, and bit holder much more solid, and true to avoid the runout induced by the connection. But the bits themselves drill arrow straight, start very easily, and do not have a tendency to walk nearly as badly as the B&D and DeWalt bits I have had in the past. (However I have used, and very much like DeWalt Pilot point bits, but that is another review for a later date...)

For those projects that will use lots of screws, where you need to swap between drill bit, and driver bit quickly, and close enough is just that, close enough, this set will really make your work go by much faster. But if lining up a perfect sized perfectly centered hole is on your agenda, pass this set up and opt instead for a smaller forstner bit...
