Since I was in need of a framing nailer for a small project I searched out value priced tools. http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=28648 After mulling over the options I settled on the Grizzly H7665, $99.95 plus tax and shipping the package arrived at my doorstep on the projected date via UPS. I first read the small short owner's manual, replaced the air inlet to fit the long Lincoln that all my other air tools use. I then followed the directions on testing the nailer. At the manufacturing plant they used plenty of thich grease on all the seals inside. So when trying to fire the gun for the first time it would not fire. I had to disassemble the gun and free up the piston. Once reassembled it fired fine.

I was framing two walls, 8' x10' and 8' x8', one door R.O. all 16" OC. I used 3" Hitatchi bright nails and some 2-1/2" nails of some unknown brand. I only fired one nail per pull of the trigger and did not try the bump fire feature. In a few instances I had problems feeding the last nail or two with the 3" nails, but when I switched to the shorter nails it seemed that it just would not feed the last 2 nails out of every rack. The few times I thought about it and reloaded prior to the end it worked fine. Other than this small glitch the nailer performed flawlessly!

In a nutshell I think this nailer is a great value. I would wish for a rafter hanger on it and will probabaly purchase one in the near future. One thing to consider if you are thinking of buying a nailer is the sheer volume of nails one must also purchase. The only size package my local lumber yard sells contains 5000 nails and cost me ~$34.00. I think I will be set for a long time for 3" nails.
