Lowes clearance prices are set by the store manager - they are not national, or even regional.

I got two of the jointers. The first was a display model, still marked $202, but I talked to the tool manager and he was happy to take $92.50.

The second one was in the box, out on the sales floor at a different store. The team leader said they couldn't sell it because it was on hold for another customer. When I picked up the display model, they mentioned that stores were not allowed to hold merchandise. I ended up talking to the tool manager at the other store, and he agreed to sell the boxed jointer for $100.

BTW, the $10 off coupon did not work on either one - perhaps because they had to do a manual price adjust. Still, I think $100 is a fair price.

However, both jointers are missing parts. Has anyone had any luck getting Delta to provide the missing parts? Haven't called them yet, just wondering what my chances of success are.

    Thanks.

delta's always been good about replacing missing pieces, broken pieces etc. I've had several parts broken in shipping of new Delta tools, and they replaced all of the broken parts with zero hassle.

If anyone has been able to scan their $92.50 receipt? I double-checked my local stores' prices recently and they haven't budged. If anyone has a scan and wants to share, you can send me a private message and I'll get you my email address.

        Greatly appreciated

Mine will be all assembled today. I cleaned all the grease off most things yesterday. There is quite a lot down in the grooves where the blade screws are, I cant see how you can clean it out without removing the blades. What did everybody else do?

I guess the blades will need setting anyway. For those that have already completed setup how were the blades set out of the box?

                    I just purchased a JT-360 @ Lowes for $99.99.

                    The regular price is $396.00.

I really wanted a jointer and was planning to buy one in September. Couldn't pass it up.

Since so many of you guys have this jointer now -- how's the dust collection ? All I have now is the HF 6" model. Even with the HF DC connected to it, it seems to get all clogged up. Is the design of the Delta a lot better ?

Hi Noah, I am in negotiations with a lowes in my area who actually still has one....but they just wont budge on this one....$369.00 and no reduction in price...just oging to have to wait for it to drop I guess. Was the $99.00 mark on the item at the checkout or was it marks on the shelf as that price?
                        Thanks

I guess that's why they still have one.... Good luck to you! It's a great machine, especially if you can get it for under a hundred bucks. You could probably sell it for scrap for that much
