what're the chances they'll honor this snafoo?

they did honor another mixup for me with a $50 powertool deal a ways back,
this one seems like a bigger dent with everyone jumping in!

I let everyone know in the morning. There is a block on my account for about $100 but they are prepping several of my orders or parts of them "right now" for shipment.

This morning the ad said to get $80 off on any purchase (period) no spending limit. Now it shows a min. purchase of $420 for the $80 off. So - no ripping off Amazon by consumers.

The following items were included in this shipment:
              ---------------------------------------------------------------------
              Qty Item Price Shipped Subtotal
              ---------------------------------------------------------------------
              1 Hitachi M12V 3-1/4 HP Electro $149.99 1 $149.99

              ---------------------------------------------------------------------
              Item Subtotal: $149.99
              Shipping & Handling: $11.89

              Super Saver Discount $-11.89
              BMSM OPT 420 $-80.00

              Total: $69.99

              Paid by Visa: $69.99

                what up with the packaging

shipping is a little wierd. I bought some bessy clamps a 24, 30, & a 50. All 3 in separate boxes. the 24 & 30 in normal boxes. the 50 came in a flattened box that was 4' wide by 5' high. the wife freaked, because i told her i was supposed to be in Amazon detox. then when she saw that 90% of the box was empty it was ok. I think i might go back for some more clamps. Because as you know Norm says you can never have to many clamps.

                  Guys,

Thanks for the tip. I just got a Freud 8" Dado blade for $15 bucks shipped. Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they don't figure this out before I get it.

I have tracking numbers on 3 of 9 shipments now. 4 more should go out tomorrow.

each item is still showing the discount, but I can't confirm with my bank account until tomorrow.

As far as is this taking advantage? maybe, but I don't think too hard on taking advantage of Corporate America when they make a goof. If it were a small "mom and pop" I would correct it, but I think Corporate America does a good job of taking advantage of us on a regular basis.

My router is on its way. No email from Amazon saying whoops we screwed up, what would you like us to do. Amazon sent the confirm email of shipped at 6:44 pm. The 40 mile journey started in Northen Kentucky this afternoon. Now how does that saying go, something about it is easier to ask for forgiveness ...........

This thread needs to die before this gets spread to sawmillcreek and woodnet. Lets not kill the goose . . . .

Call me crazy....but my conscience got the best of me.

I had the Forrest WWII 40 tooth for 15.74 in my "basket" and I could not pull the trigger. I felt like I was capitalizing off of someone's mistake. I am certainly not making judgements. I just picked up a Hitachi Bandsaw for $120 with one of the Lowe's reciepts. I feel better about that purchase as it was approved by a manager (human). I just feel funny about using a code to "trick" the system.

Am I old school about this?

                            Sincerely,

                            Dan - San Diego

Looks like it just died at 1:30 am EST anyway . . . . .
No longer working on Hitachi Planer, PC Nailer, etc.

                              Now for the order cancellation/modification emails . . . .

Worked for me at 10:35pm pacific. A Porter-Cable 423MAG circular saw just found a new home. I need to stop reading the bargain alerts before I go completely broke.
