yep mine got cancelled too,
if it werent such a heavy item i wouldve done like mike and paid to have it shipped faster,,but the shipping wouldve negated any savings,

My order placed last evening at 5 P.M. got cancelled 3 A.M. this morning, with the exasct same email as above. I ordered some stuff two days ago, and did not get a cancellation on that.... Yet.

Woke up this morning to find that my two orders had been cancelled. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Kudos to thse who got in early before the alarms were tripped and someone from Amazon figured out something was happening. Now the only thing they seem to have is a Presidents" Day discount that doesn't seem to work??

lost my lathe, lost my DC hose, and lost my chisel set, everything else has already shipped.

DC stuf $106 for $26
Lathe Chuck $80 for $50something


Now I need a lathe and tools to go with my chuck and a hose to connect my DC to the accessories.

No spindle sander.
No belt/disc sander.

And now for the good news:
My Delta SS250 Scroll saw shipped Cost $9.54
Still 2 orders pending I checked on Amazon and they seem to be in the works with ship dates in a couple of days.

I think that all orders that are in the works are going to ship ie, those in the can not cancel order is in shipping process. I had one convert from that status to shipped with tracking about 5 minutes ago.
If they cancelled your order, you will find there is no record of the transaction ever occuring on their website. Its just gone.

Not entirely correct.
If the item cancelled belonged to an order that contained other items, and where one or more of those got shipped... then the entire order lingers on :-)

That would be true. All my cancelled orders were for single items.

Acutally that is false in one case I am seeing. JDS top filter bag and JDS plastic bottom bags. JDS plastic bottom bags shipped at 17.99 - 15.00 = 2.99 the order for the top 1 micron bag IS NOT THERE.

The top bag was not in "pre-ship" either so that is probably why it was cancelled.

Ok, so I just got off the phone with the nice Indian lady from Amazon customer support regarding the order I placed for a Delta DP300 Drill press with the $80 off coupon. I got an email this morning saying it was cancelled which was not a major surprise and I wasn't terribly disappointed seeing as the order for my PC 895 router went through with the $80 off (Woo hoo!).

But I figured, why not see if they'll at least knock something off the Drill Press price. So I called up and complained about the order being cancelled. After a short discussion she offered me free 2 day shipping on it. I said, that's not really cutting it but ok. I also had a Delta dust collector in my cart so the total was $349.98 plus shipping for the DC. I asked if out of good faith they would apply the free 2 day shipping to both items and she agreed to do that. So then I applied the PRESDAYS coupon to bring it down to $299.98. I then asked if I added the Dewalt reciprocating saw would they let me get it for free as I was almost on the $300 mark needed for that promotion and she agreed!!!

So now I am getting $425 worth of tools for $299.98 with free 2 day shipping.....

Sorry if this sound like gloating (I confess, I am a little!) but for all of you out there that had their orders cancelled over the $80 off fiasco it sounds like Amazon is willing to help you out.)

I am a shameless hustler I know but these tools are quite expensive....

Well guys it has been a long time since I have posted anything but I thought I would chime in on this since this is the thread that got me going again (well sort of when I can find the time when I am not taking care of my 15 month old little girl) I read this thread and decided to try to order the hitachi m12. Ordered it yesterday morning for a total of 70 bucks. Well I received it today!!! and I didn't even pay for shipping. I couldn't beleive it! Now hopefully my other order goes through for the sd208 dado for 15 bucks. Well off to read through the new toy manual!!! thanks for this great thread and see you around!!!
