    Amazon Odd Behavior

Not a bargin alert but related to all the Amazon activity and recent purchases spawned by bargin alert.

    2 orders :
    1) Bosch Router, DW303, Dust Bag and Jigsaw Blades
Bosch Router and DW303 are shipped the next day, seperate packages though there is plenty of room in the box for the DW303. Dust bag to be sent via Fedex and Jigsaw blades UPS. All originate in Harrisburg, PA about 30 minutes from where I live. 4 seperate boxes, 4 seperate shipments.
    2) Bessey K Body Cabinet Kit, (2) 31" Kbody and (1) 24" K-Body. Each of these items are shipped seperately. But they at least put the (2) 31" K-Bodys together right? WRONG! 4 seperate boxes, 4 seperate shipments. Again from a location 30 minutes away.
They could have paid a $10 per hour warehouse worker to deliver it to my home! They could have combined everything into two boxes. This is absolutely insane. Next you will see the company laying people off to try to save money or cutting pensions or some nonsense.

Edit : OMG! I just noticed they sent (1) 31" via UPS and (1) 31" via Fedex! This will be interesting. I put wrong zip code in on all my orders (sometimes I ship stuff to my office and I picked the wrong address . . . maybe I should go work for these monkeys!) . . UPS has delivered everything the next day. Fedex did not and required a phone call. We'll see if both or either get the 31'ers corrected.

      nope, not yet

"Next you will see the company laying people off to try to save money or cutting pensions or some nonsense."

No, they won't cut pensions yet. Companies cut pensions only after they've promised them to you in lieu of a better raise or similar immediate benefit, promising you a rosey future, and let tens of years go past until your brain is mush and you can't do anything about it when they claim the world has changed and they must change, as if the world hadn't changed in the 60's /70's for you with inflation and increased costs of living requiring you to seek more wages but settling for an increase in pension, promised to you as a "guarnteed" retirement benefit!

or at least that's how I see it.

I am like Jeff, (I live 15 minutes from the warehouse) and I don't believe that they will let me pick up).

Russianwolf, What was the $80 discount that was applied to your order. I am all for getting things at a 1/3 of the price, even if I don't need them...LOL
        Thanks,
        Pete

For some reason it lets you use BMSMUTHR4BEN, which is for $420 or more. I just got the same deal, been putting off a router purchase for quite a while and that is a steal.

look in the lathe topic a few lines down. I also ordered the PSI lathe reg $169 for $89. The code in there seems to be working all over the place.

If I was an Amazon stockholder, I'd be calling them up right now.. but as I'm not, I'll just enjoy their pricing gaffes like the rest of us.
I thought I did well with the free DW303, and $40 off my Bosch E16SVPKE by using the loophole someone found earlier... but this is even better.
So, now I'm back off to amazon.com to see what I can use that $80 coupon on.....
Did I hear someone say Woodworker II blade?

I just tried the promotional code for a Milwaukee sawzall and it does not allow it. I guess they are not allowing it anymore?

They have been known to cancel in the past because of pricing errors.. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
