    Thanks,

    Eugene,

I think if you call any store with the stock #, they can look up any store within their district for inventory. When I was there, they checked Atlanta area stores for inventory and pricing as well.

since jwaterdawg's post i thought i would mention that i also got the $99.00 charge for drill press- after showing the manager the $129.00 picture. and this was for a NEW one in-the-box! there were two boxed and one on the floor, and after i asked him for the $129.00 deal he said; " I'll beat that, you can have one for $99.00"-i was surprised.

I got mine today at the Royal Oaks Lowes on Kirkwood and Westheimer in Houston.
The Katy Lowes did not have any, I sat down with a list of Lowes and bingo, the Royal Oaks store tool guy said he had 5. I asked the price and he said $199. I asked if there was a clearance sale, he said it was s non-stock item, ask the tool crib M.O.D -manager on duty.

When I got ot the store, I looked it over and it was a very nice DP as I suspected. So I went to the customer service desk next and found two managers having a conversation. one nametag said administrative manager and the other dept manager. I asked them
if they would honor/match a sales tag from another Lowes, they said which, I showed them Tequila's pic and said about 15 other stores had matched it across the country.

He said that on non-stock items being cleared they would only do it if they 1 or two left. I said, on the other hand you'd do it if you had a lot left and he admitted, yes. So he went and punched it up on the computer and came back and said yes he would give me that price.

I went and had the tool guy pull one down from the racks and
went to check out. I told the clerk the manager had approved the price and she just checked with her immediate supervisor and gave me the price without asking for the manager I had talked to originally.

I think at that price its a great buy. Now I have to go set it up!

P.S. Assembled and working now. Great buy even if i didn't get it for $99. Heck, just the laser on my other (benchtop) DP cost $40.

P.P.S. Since two people got it for $100 at the same store, since I got mine in the last 4 days, I went back and got a $29 price adjustment from the manager. Part of which I spent on a Kobalt 24mm socket and U-joint so I can adjust the table tilt.

My guess is that his receipt will also show "AS-IS" if that's what you are worried about. When they do individual mark downs on non-stock items they tend to ring them up that way. See for example the thread about the Hitachi BS. Or maybe you are asking about something else.......

I am the proud new owner of one of these drill presses for the price of $100. Thanks for posting the receipt!

Store: Houston - Royal Oaks @ Kirkwood & Westheimer, where LCHIEN bought his yesterday.

Man this thing is a bear. I'll have to wait til the wife gets home to help unload it - but I know when I ask her for her help, she'll say "why the heck do you need nother tool? I just bought you a bt3100 last week?"

Hm....maybe I can hide it in the bedroom closet [8D]

Which store in Orlando this they do the match at?
I have never had luck actually getting the match to go happen.
                  Thanks,

There are still two drills left at the Piscataway, NJ store. I picked up one for $99 (approved by the Operation Manager).

I just brought a 24V cordless drill (still in the box) in December that I didn't even need, now I have to tell the wife about this purchase. []

Hey all, I want to thank everyone for the posting of the receipts. Made copies and took them to my local Lowes. Talked with tool dept. MOD, manager on duty, and showed him copies. It was still marked $199.00, no clearance tag or so on, on their display model. They had 2 new in the box. He agreed to sell one of the new in box ones to me for $125! Now the new proud owner of the DP.

In case anyone else needs receipt for the Central Illinois area I'll try to post mine. Haven't tried this before, but here goes.

Thanks to you who shared your receipts and picture of the clearance price tag I just bought the drill press for $129!!

The woman behind the customer service desk initially said that they would only match the price if the store was in their district. I showed her the receipts from Peoria, Il and Richmond, Va, the photo of the $129 clearance price tag as well as the thread dialogue indicated a $129 price in the Houston area and told her that, that must be one **** of a huge district. She called over a "zone manager" and he matched the price as soon as he saw the receipts and photo. He did say that it was not in the system at $129. They had a floor model and 2 boxed up. I took a boxed one home.

                        Thanks again!

2 left (one in box and one on display) at the Lowes at Westheimer and Kirkwood (Houston). Got mine for $100... Woman(?) manager said "Didn't I just override the price for you the other day?"

Anyone got a good plan for a replacement/add-on table for this DP?

                              Grimas,

I was the one who she overrided the price for down to $100. Her name was Mel, eh?

I had a great experience doing the pricematch which set you up to get it at that insance price. You can send a gift to me .... ha!

I'll have mine in the box for another week before I can get to it.

                              Enjoy!

My shop also just got the new tool smell. None of my local stores had them marked down to $129, but I've been patiently waiting until the inventory dropped to 2-3 in store and then try my luck with price match. Today I went to a store that was supposed to have 4 on hand, but turns out they only had the floor model. The manager asked "what price did your friend get it for?" and I showed him the picture tequila posted. He said I can beat that. I'll let you have the last one (floor model) for $100+tax. A great deal! I'm stoked. Even though it was the floor model, everything was there (minus the manual, which I just downloaded and printed out) so I am really stoked. THANK YOU tequila for the post of the picture. Here's a copy of my receipt; hopefully, I can pass on my luck to someone else waiting in the wings to get one of these puppies.

                                Happy drilling to all!
I've check the local Lowe's in my area and the only ones that are left are the floor models. $100+tax is not bad, but I'm just worried that somebody might have left out a part. Have you run into any problems other than the manual? I might try my luck today and buy one. Thanks for posting your receipt.

                                Thanks,
