The Santa Clarita, Calif. store has it for $199 but I noticed that it has no depth stop or lock to hold the quill in a lowered position. These are deal breakers for me.

Just for grins I called my local Lowes and they have it for $150.00 and that's a NOT on sale price. Of course, they were out of stock on this item.

I think it is against the law for one guy to own 2 drill presses. let alone 2 with worklights. [8D]

Look at the link above for the manual. It does have a depth stop.

                  Funny stuff...
I stopped at the Lowes in Plymouth Meeting to pick up a drill press at $129.
Only the floor model left, I asked Joe the tool dept. guy if they could drop the price on the floor model. No dice. I asked him to check another store for inventory, he laughed and said "This is a pretty hot item, I had a guy call from Georgia, he was at his Lowes and needed confirmation for a price match down there" I looked at him smiled and said "imagine that" This board has nationwide impact!
Every tool you own is broken, you just don't know it yet :-)

So the 64000 question (actually the 129 question): did you get one for $129?

I was the guy in GA trying to get the price match, and they wouldn't do it for me.

I was able to pick up the drill press at the Montgomeryville PA location for $129. I had a 10% mover coupon that they would not honor :-)
                          I was happy with $129.
They had 4 left in stock.

My guess is that the "Joes" at that Plymouth Meeting store are getting tired of this forum. I drove there to get Jet Table Saw deal and spoke with both Joes. They do have a tendency to act like they own the products and its there money when it comes to matching. Hey, who knows maybe their bonus is margin driven (which is perfectly acceptable if it is). Note, there is sales associate Joe and Manager Joe.

HI I am new to the board and would like to thank you all for the heads up on the drill press at lowes. I went to the Grandville lowes in MI and bought 2 of them at $129.99 they had six in stock (minus the two I stole). Well thanks again It is time to start looking for a router and table.
