Incorrect usage of an antique hand plane.

Someone forgot to turn off the warning messages for a program, so it won't run the background because it really wants to display the warning, which means I have to run it in the foreground and hit enter 3 times for each of the 6,742 material I'm updating.



It ought to be done in about 10 hours and I have to baby sit it in case there are any real errors.

Could have, but maybe he doesn't have any bricks in his home and though I can't speak for his neighbors, mine got quite upset the last time I chiseled one out of his front porch.

Reminds me of the days where my day job was to sit at a desk and refresh internet truckstop looking for freight for our California fleet. 9 hours at a time. about every 5-10 seconds. When a new load popped up it was usually gone by the time I could dial the phone number.

At my previous job we had a glitch with AutoCad that kept its users from logging in. Somehow I finally was able to log in. I speculated that if I allowed the program to time out I wouldn’t be able to log back in so I connected the mouse to my oscillating fan with a wooden ruler and a couple of spring clips. A week later they got AutoCad operational.

The program eventually finished with a total of 7 real errors that I had to deal with. The accountant in Canada signed off on the changes by 10:00 the following morning. I'll get the program fixed before we need to use it again for the next plant move in October.

It is a crappy antique steel plane that did much better at this task than it ever did being used for its originally intended purpose.
