    Time For A ms

Our anniversary is coming up on the 15th. Our sons got together and bought us an early anniversary present. We have hotel reservations in Galveston for Friday night. Saturday we board the Carnival Dream for an 8-day cruise to the Bahamas. Eight days with no computers, projects or other distractions. Just 8 days to relax with my bride and celebrate 50 years of wonderful marriage. We have reservations at the steak house on the 15th but with a milestone celebration like this we might be invited to dine at the Captain's table that evening.

Congratulations, be sure to spend all the time at Coco Cay, and have a perfect day! The water is still just right temperature, wade out and soak, enjoy.

Thanks for all the comments and congratulations. The cruise was a wonderful experience.

On our anniversary Ginger had her hair and nails done while I waited at one of the bars. There was an ensemble of 3 violinists from Bosnia playing on a stage above the bar. I had talked to them to set up a surprise for Ginger but she was late and they had just finished their last set. They were getting ready to tear down when they saw me walk across the dance floor to meet Ginger. They stopped, introduced us and the occasion and said they were going to play one more song. The floor was cleared as everyone watched me lead my bride to the center of the floor, take her in my arms as we danced to Elvis' "Can't Help Faling in Love". Pictures were done on the way to the restaurant and we have a 16x20 canvas print of one of them that I need to frame. At dinner, we were treated like royalty. Our waitress stood close by and only served us, making sure everything was taken care of to perfection.

On an empty dance floor with everyone watching? I know for sure I would trip over my own feet and probably break a leg or something! I mentioned Coco Cay on previous reply…. Sorry that’s RC cruise line. Did you get to a Carnival private island?

One of the islands, I think it is Half Moon Cay, is staffed entirely by Carnival employees. They have homes elsewhere in the Bahamas and are brought in on company boats for several days at a time. while on the island al their housing, food, laundry, etc. is provided by the company.
