nearly 20 years (and I'm ONLY 36 ) in Automotive Parts Sales/Management.

Seriously considering a change of pace and going into Industrial Maintenance, door's open, just gotta figure out if I really want to work 2nd shift or not

No rocket scientist here either, but I am (another) electrical engineer. Seems like there are quite a few engineers around here, and lots more programmers/software developers. Anyway, I am currently doing work designing data capture hardware for a medical imaging company.

Electrical engineer/project manager, working in energy industry services, e.g. oil and gas exploration services, the last 22 years in the seismic-related sector. You could call it fancy instrumentation.

I used to be an aerospace engineer but didn't work on rockets, now Im a mechanical engineer in the mining industry

Got a degree in computer engineering, currently working as a programmer to pay the bills until I can find a job where I can get my hands on some hardware.

Anyway, I am just a data/software architect - a cushy job, i am reminded by LOML compared to what she handles at home.

I read (or heard) a theory about the number of software people into woodworking - this seems to be a total contrast to what we do in our cubicles, and we get to actually see a tangible output that we can touch and admire...something there to that.

I currently work part-time (6 hours a day) with a company that orients in "Muscle Car Restoration" around the world in sales, customer service and technical support. www.yearone.com

Estimator/Sales/Draftsman/Engineering Coordinator/Project Manager for a small (did you guess?) heat exchanger service/repair/fabrication shop.
Primarily oil/gas, some power plant stuff.
It feels good knowing our jobs ship to all corners of the world, including Texas (Rio Nogales Power Plant Condensers was one of my first big jobs 6 years ago.)

Now a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) coordinator for the county.
