    What's Your Job?

Reading Paul's poll and post made me wonder about what some of these jobs were. Not to steal any thunder from Paul, but this could be a very interesting question as long as we have jobs on our minds. Some answered with their job some didn't. We have such a variety of knowledge here. Maybe we do have a real rocket scientist.

    Personally, I have been a cabinetmaker/woodworker since 1970 as a profession.

I'm not a rocket scientist but my neighbor is so if no one on the forum is a rocket scientist then you're only two degrees away from one!

I've been selling industrial automation equipment since 1977 for 7 different companies, 13 years in sales management.

30 years as a Police Officer (retired in December, 2004 as a Police Inspector). Prior to that, I drove maximum-length semi-trailer rigs ("artics" over here). Before that, a motor mechanic.

Now I do what I like, when I like, if I like - it's great!

Okay those jobs put my little job to shame. Before I had the baby and for year before that I was a store cashier at a store similiar to a Wal-Mart. Then a bank teller for a few months until they had to let me go (because of a fellow employee I believe, she wanted my full time spot).

And now I just stay home and take care of the kids. Ten year old twins and 7 month old Thomas. Oh and I should add Mark in there too.

Director of Technical Sales (i.e. old programmer that they don't know what to do with) for a control systems manufacture

I am the son of a rocket scientist…does that count?
