Kyle, please be sure to let your family know how your grandfather impacted so many lives for good. We all have an opportunity to do some good in some area of our lives and Monte did just that. Remeber his example, Kyle, and be a light wherever you go and whatever you do. Life is too short to be unkind or bitter. God bless you and yours.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Monte's family. I agree with Boomer this is a great Board and I hope Kyle will stay around and share what Monte shared with him. For Monte, may he be in Heaven a half hour before the devil knows hes gone.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. My condolences and prayers to your whole family, Kyle, what a series of blows. I bought an accessory table from Monte about a month ago (I think it was the day before his wife was hit by the car) and we exchanged a few emails about his wife's condition. He was positive in each message, confident she would fully recover with time. Now this... Let me know if there is anything that I can help with from Seattle and I'll be sending prayers to your family and thinking about you Thu afternoon.

This was pretty shocking news to me. His passing was so fast as I wasn't aware that he had health problems. Makes me thankful for every day I have. I always enjoyed his posts and I will definitely miss him and his input.
Our prayers go with his family and friends.

That is a very sad news. I have never met Monte in person but feel like I lost a close friend. My sincere condolences to family and friends of Monte. I wish I am in the shop when the time comes and I have that many friends to say a good word. Monte was a great MAN.

Monte was an institution here, and like everybody else I will miss his insights. I hope Maggie will be OK.

                      Kyle.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. He was a good man. You will always find someone to talk to here on this forum. I have never seen so many responses to any topic here before. That is a true measure of how he was liked here.

By all means, try to keep his workshop going. You will find that if you need help in the shop, people here will rush to try to answer your questions.

My prayers are with him and his family.

I would have liked to known him in person.
I enjoyed best his: wit, sense of humor, willingness to share his knowledge, and his honest friendly and caring demeanor.
Its difficult to put into typed words but Monte was a favorite to me and when I saw a post or reply from him I went right to it.
                        He is missed.
Kyle my condolences to you and your family
