Sorry to hear the sad news. I didn't know him personally, but he was a great contributor here.

Wow, I'm in disbelief... Monte was a person you'd read their post as soon as you saw he replied. We lost a truly good person....

My family's prayers are with yours Kyle....

My condolences on the loss of your Grandfather, Take the time to grieve. But then remember, he's gone on to a new place, to set up another shop, with no tool budget restraints, and a master carpenter as a friend!

I've probably logged in and out three times since first reading this news -- absolutely speechless.

Monte always seemed so helpful and kind, with lots of "attaboys" -- something I tend to overlook doing, but always appreciate receiving.

Kyle, keep us posted. We'll be thinking of you and Monte's family.

                  Regards,
                  Tom

I am so sorry. He will be missed. At least he passed in one of his fondest places.

                        Proud

I am proud to be associated with such a wonderful group of individuals.

The concern, compassion and sympathy for Monte's family demonstrated in these postings are inspiring. I hope that the family and friends of Monte will find some solace in knowing he was so highly regarded.

And I proud to be involved in a hobby that shares a common goodwill for everyone involved.

From what I read about Monte, it is obvious he embodied the best of who we are as individuals and who we hope to be as craftsmen and craftswomen.

I am humbled and thankful, and I wish God’s peace and comfort to everyone grieved by this loss.

I haven't been a member here that long but it is always sad when someone that helps you passes on (and he did respond to a lot of newbies). My condolences to Kyle and the rest of Monte's family.
                          Thanks,

Monte was certainly one of the good guys here. So patient and helpful.
