So yeah, it's been a while since I have replaced the sanding belts on both my Rigid oscillating belt / spindle sander, AND my Chicago Electric 4x24 belt sanders.
I had some Harbor Freight 4x24 80 grit belts in my spares, threw them on, and almost instantly they came separate at the glue joint. I no longer see these on the HF website BTW.
FWIW, sanding curves into a panel and having the belt come undone on you stings a bit...
I am taking a shot at a 10 pack of Powertec 40 grit belts.
Will keep you posted on how well these do.
FWIW, I have used Powertec sanding media over the years with good results.
WIsh me luck!
Oh and FWIW, I kind of need these soon / now. I am making some custom items for camping (support stand for on demand hot water heater / shower).
