    Power cord problem

I was installing new ends on several power cords. I finished this one, and something doesn't seem quite right. See photo.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

AS dangerous as that is I actually have one that is about a foot long that looks like it. On purpose.

That's the cord you use when running Christmas lights and don't plan ahead.

I once made an extension cord from a cast off grounded computer power cord. Unfortunately, I went brain dead during the process and crossed the hot and neutral wires at the new end. Took me quite a while to figure out why things would trip off when I tried to use it

I had an extension cord that was factory made with the neutral and hot wires crossed. I think that I may have noticed something and check3d it with my cheap continuity tester and discovered it was mis-wired.

That's funny, looks like something I would do.

That’s the plug configuration that you would use to back feed from your portable generator into your house. Illegal, but it is done quite regularly.
