Probably so, I think they made the right decision in the end though. Just look at the few here that are singing praises about HD. That doesn't happen all that often.

Probably not, as one of the e-mails said, it was a computer-driven automatic markdown, so they're not going to fire the computer or the programmer, they'll just adjust the algorithm/program criteria.

I agree that HD did something they really didn't have to do. They did recognize that woodworkers are a substantial part of their tool business and acted accordingly. But sometimes, like in the store closeout of the DW735 planers, it can be haphazard, but that is another story. In this instance, I applaud them.

Often times people use the phrase "write it off" as though it doesn't cost them anything. A loss is a loss and this is money they no longer have.

I think they said not to expect anything for 30 business days. That was in the end of December, so I'm trying to forget about this until mid-February.
