I wouldn't return an item I got for a good price. If I get both I'll sell the one I don't keep. I can probably find a friend to take one off my hands for close to what I paid.

FOr those of you who already own the 3K, what attachments/ accessories do you recommend? The glass plate, the slotted plate - I don't know what these are for and may learn about them in the directions but while I'm ordering at this price it might just be easier to take it from SWMBO all at one time.

The 3K should come with 2 glass plates and a slotted wheel. I just picked up a third glass plate for some micromesh discs. I intend to get the belt attachment for sissors and knives.

Maybe someone could help me out here. When I saw the deal on Friday, I did some looking around on the internet and found a website that showed someone made a surround for the WS2K and made about 8 different jigs with various angles for it. It's what convinced me to go ahead and order the 2K.

Now I can't find it. My work computer won't have saved my history from Friday. Any help here? My Google searches at home haven't provided anything.

That's a pretty cool idea. You could use most any honing jig with that table. Much like the Wide Blade attachment for the WS3000, but cheaper and with more surface area. http://blogs.popularwoodworking.com/...ide+Tools.aspx

Thanks for the heads up on the backorder. I thought I was out of luck on this sweet deal but I ordered 2 of these last night. One for myself & one for my dad, so I won't be wearing his out. Sriously though, he's been talking about ordering one for a couple of years now. If I could have only wrapped one up for his christmas present. Now if they will actually ship them & not send me a disappointing email.

Were it still in stock, I could also have gotten an additional 10% Vet Discount on this item.
Unfortunately, it cannot be ordered while under Back Order, and the sale price will only apply during the Sale Dates listed.
If they restock within that time, then it will apply.

So we need to keep vigil until Jan 5th.

I just got an email from Home Depot notifying that my WS 3000 shipped via UPS.

My order from Sunday morning is still listed as Expected Backorder on the HD website. I haven't gotten any email yet.

I expect that HD's shipping department is in Atlanta and is closed for the day, I'll check again tomorrow.

I tried to order earlier today (Monday) and it stated that I needed to remove the item from my "shopping cart" because the item was on "back order" and therefore couldn't be ordered.

Too bad, because it would have come to about $73! I guess I will just have to keep checking and hopefully some will show up before the sale ends.
