I paid 202.
The floor model looked fine enough. The boxed one i bought i almost regretted, it had been beaten up and i was concerned that I was getting a pig in a poke but only the dust outlet was broken and easily glued.
It is a neat little machine though..im going to start scavenging wood.Comment

The E. Fort Worth store (Eastchase & I20) had three. Now they have two. Nobody knew what they were and nobody could find them. They are on the top of the racks above the nuts & bolts. The price in the computer was $202.

...While putting mine together, I thought about the "display model" situation and wondered if I would want one. While these machines are not the most complex in the world, I'm not sure if I would trust the assembly to the guys at MY Lowes. If I bought a display, I'm sure I'd go over the manual step by step and do a very good QA of the assembly and then do all of the calibrations myself once I was comfortable with the set up.
Has anyone had a bad experience with a display model?

Just returned from the Ft. Oglethorpe, GA store (in north GA) and noted they still have a display model with the $313 tag. They have also marked down the Delta 1HP Single Stage Dust Collector to $100. Will post this separately.

Chicagoland folks
Got one nib in Elgin! Looks like the stores in Chicagoland have finally come to their sences. For anyone who is interested there is a floor model available in Schaumburg (I had a hold on it but I am about to call and cancel) and in Elgin.

Mine was new in the box and I did not get a switch safety key (little yellow thingy) and don't recall that the instructions mentioned one.

Thanks for the laugh, I needed that! I don't have space either. You don't need a parachute to skydive, you only need a parachute to skydive twice.Comment
