      I paid 202.
The floor model looked fine enough. The boxed one i bought i almost regretted, it had been beaten up and i was concerned that I was getting a pig in a poke but only the dust outlet was broken and easily glued.
It is a neat little machine though..im going to start scavenging wood.

The E. Fort Worth store (Eastchase & I20) had three. Now they have two. Nobody knew what they were and nobody could find them. They are on the top of the racks above the nuts & bolts. The price in the computer was $202.

If I bought a display, I'm sure I'd go over the manual step by step and do a very good QA of the assembly and then do all of the calibrations myself once I was comfortable with the set up.
Has anyone had a bad experience with a display model?
Exactly what you said. I'm assuming that my display unit was assembled for show, not for operation. I'll be disassembling and reassembling this weekend according to the manual so that I am more confident with the setup and also to get a tally of any missing parts. If I had the choice between one in an undamaged box and the floor model, given in my case a $25 discount, I'd go with the box. One advantage of the floor model though is that most of the grease has already been removed from the bed and I don't have to hassle with disposing the packaging once it is assembled.

I still haven't unpacked and set-up the craftsman 6" jointer I purchased during the last jointer feeding frenzy.

                    jschen,

Did they have the 203 price marked or did you have to haggle with the manager? The really gave me a hard time when I asked for the price in Elgin.

                    Thanks
                    Scott

Jschen - was the floor model the last one, or did the Naperville store have more?

Just returned from the Ft. Oglethorpe, GA store (in north GA) and noted they still have a display model with the $313 tag. They have also marked down the Delta 1HP Single Stage Dust Collector to $100. Will post this separately.

Hey FB, did you get the switch safety key(little yellow thingy), the 4 allen and 2 open end wrenches, the 2 push blocks. Seems these are miising on the floor model.

                            Chicagoland folks

Got one nib in Elgin! Looks like the stores in Chicagoland have finally come to their sences. For anyone who is interested there is a floor model available in Schaumburg (I had a hold on it but I am about to call and cancel) and in Elgin.

Mine was new in the box and I did not get a switch safety key (little yellow thingy) and don't recall that the instructions mentioned one.

Thanks for the laugh, I needed that! I don't have space either.
