    Maximum Width and Depth

    Hey Jeffrey,
According to the manual, the maximum width is 32" and the maximum depth is also 32." A note is also added: "1. The dimensions listed are approximate measurements taken at the lowest outside corners of the leg stand." The maximum weight is 300lbs. I have one on a table saw that weighs about 200 pounds and it works very well.

This current lift is actually called the Herc-U-Lift Plus and replaced the original Herc-U-Lift and the current one (Herc-U-Lift PLUS) model is probably what you are referring to as the heavy duty. The model is AC9950. In an earlier post, mpauly listed the SKU as SKU# 352-522. Hope this helps.

I noticed that the diagrams in the book do not agree with the chart (for the universal leg set made by Ridgid) that I quoted above; one diagram shows a lift adjusted for a miter saw with a width of 37.25 inches - bigger than anything on the chart and also a RA Saw with a 35" depth, also bigger than anything on the chart. There is also a lathe shown with a length of 58 inches but it requires accessory tube set AC9951 which must be purchased separately. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

Jeffrey, you can get the owners manual here.

I don't have the SKU right now but here is the bar code if this will help.
      Bar code: 648846002293.
They,re pretty heavy duty I think, I'm using 5 of them right now and need 2 more, so I'm heading out to HD after this.
I would suggest you go pick them up now, and if you don't like them you can return them later.

My local BORG (Corning, NY), had five on Saturday (8/27) afternoon. I bought one and after giving it further consideration will purchase a second one tomorrow. As someone said, you can't buy the casters for that price. Excellant deal.

I git the last one at HD in Hilliard, OH. Walked in and actually found a orange apron in the tool crib. Asked if they had any. He said we did and walked me over to the one on the shelf. I asked if it was on clearance and he went up to a register and looked it up.

I could tell by the look on his face, BINGO! Looking over his shoulder I said does that say $14.70. He said yes. I grabbed the Herc-u-lift and ran.

Just grabbed the last one at the Woodhaven, MI store. Make sure when you call or go in that you have them check the sku # like MPauly suggested, I called in to ask and when they checked the "model #", the price came up as $49. But being the stubbern, money grubber I am, I went in anyway to check myself and the "sku#" rang up at $14.70, thanks a bunch Pauly..

              No more around this area

I picked up two more today. They were hidden behind some other inventory, only one person knew of their whereabouts.

This morning I assembled the first one I bought. It is attached to my new BT3100. The job took about four hours. Don't have it completely adjusted yet but it works. Great deal for $15, imho. The saw plus the stand was $190 plus tax.

Seriously? Has that been anyone elses experience? I'm not spending 4 hours putting one of these together.

                  Assembly Time

It takes me a long time to put things together. And I spent more than a few minutes making sure that the holes in the legs were in the right spot, knowning that it might be very difficult to undrill them.

Even so, it was a job lining it up, adjusting the spring, etc. Four hours total, no guess, I kept track of it.

Assembling and mounting the first one can and may be a little complicated, considering reading the manual, measuring and drilling mounting holes in the legs of non-Ridgid stand, etc. Yes it could take 4 hours.
Average time afterwards(well, for me anyway) is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I've assembled and mounted 5 so far, the last 4 without the manual.

                        Learning Curve

I believe that I could do a second one in about 1/2 the time.

Any device of this type, designed to work on something as small as 22" square up to 32" square, if I recall the dimensions correctly, is gonna take some initial figuring out. But I admit that it may take me longer than most.

There are two Herc-u-lifts at the HD off of Colerain Avenue in Cincinnati.

You gotta look up for them as they are up on the extra stock shelf, on the left side of the tool area above the drill display . They have big white inventory tags with 352-522 written on them, stuck on the end of the boxes. The price will ring up correctly at $14.70

Does anyone know if it will work with a delta contractor saw, specifically, the 36-675 (this is the one that was on clearance at HD a year ago for $399).

                            Thanks
