I called the local HD to see if they had any in stock and if so at what price. After giving what I thought was a very simple explanation of the product the sales droid on the phone obviously had no idea what I was talking about and finally flat out said 'yeah, we don't carry those'. I had some time later this evening and decided to drop buy when it might be a little less busy and got a helpfull cust service person to look it up on the computer. It showed 3 in stock, but they had to go find them up in the racks. After the a little searching they found the stash and I gladly made my purchase for $14.70.

Now carrying this box to the car I was thinking, 'man this thing is heavy'. It was in a plain cardboard box with simply the 'herc-u-lift' label on it, wrapped in plastic and covered with tons of dust, so I decided to wait till I got home to check it out. Upon opening it, to my surprise the box contained TWO lifts. I feel a little guilty now having only paid for 1, maybe my conscience will get the better of me and I'll go back and pay for the second one or return it.

Oh, to avoid the sales droid having no clue what you're talking about, give them the SKU# 352-522 or the model #AC9950 and have them actually look it up.

I called the borg in West Roxbury, MA, they have none, but the store in Norwood, MA has several of them. I went there after work, they have four of them on the shelf, the price is $14.70. I got two of them, still two more left if anyone is interested. That was heavy, for this price, I can not even buy 4 casters along. After get home, I open it up, looks like it is very strong, but it takes some effort to assemble. Anyway, it well worth the money.

I got the last one on display at Morgan Hill, but there might be more in the stacks. None visible at the Camden/Hillsdale store in San Jose, but I didn't have them check their database.

The only store in the area that has them in stock showed 3, but could only find one. I got it. Would have been nice to at least pick up a second for my RAS, maybe a third for a mobile table, but no go. Hope it's worth the trouble...

I found one at a store near my house but they said the price was $29. From the posts here it seems like stores all over the country are selling them for $14.70. Where are y'all seeing the $14.70 price? Is it posted or does it just ring up at $14.70 when you checkout?

I'm in north/central NJ. It rang up at the $14.70 price and when they originally looked it up in their computer that was the 'regular' price as well (no sale or closeout designation). Sales guy was very surprised at the price, to which I said "I know, that's why I'm buying it".

I just got off the phone with my local HD. The guy in hardware walked the Herc-U-Lift up to the front of the store and had them scan it. It showed up $29.

Couple of HUL questions if you please.

1) What is the maximum range of the HUL? I know it has rails thats you can make different lengths. What is the largest opening?

2) Isn't there a heavy duty HUL? Anyone have a model or SKU on that?

Got mine

Went to the local BORG at 6:30am PDT and found the last one they had. It was in a busted up box but everything was there. Asked the tool crib guy if it was on sale. He had no clue but was nice enough to go check, sure enough $14.70 walked me up to the self check out to make sure it went through and I was out of there. May go look at the other close Borg next week and pick up another to save. Will adapt this one for the BT3 and use the the HTC mobil base that is on there now for my Planner cabinet/stand.

Lake Mary Borg was clueless, left me on hold and never came back. I called Casselberry Borg and they had three. Two were still sealed in the box and one was open. I grabbed all three using a gift card my daughter gave me for Father's day. One is now in the back of a squad car as I promosed my buddy, Leon, one of them.

Yep, just as I thought. I just got home from my HD run, they said they do carry them but don't have any stocked and have none on order.
