Seen on FB Marketplace for$50, is this a matched set?

Seems like the groove cut will be way too narrow for the tongue

It's hard to tell because the upper and lower cutters for the tongue bit aren't opposite of one another. It looks like they're configurable, and I would ask if the rest of the pieces come with the set, i.e. spacers and more groove cutters.

Maybe its adjustable but just doesn't look right to me. The bearing in the tongue cutter is between the two cutters and it looks to be wider than the groove cutting bit. Aren't they supposed to be preset when they come as a set so that the tongue fits precisely in the groove? Adjustable would be bad...?

      I guess they are adjustable:

THAT is what it is! The original photos show two layers but no spacers between them.

Coincidentally. I was in the Grizzly HQ store in Bellingham, yesterday, and saw a tongue and groove router bit on clearance that was a single bit that could be configured to do both the tongue and groove. The plastic case to store the bit was cracked, so was marked down. Seems like a pain to have to re-configure the bit and fiddle with all the set up, but then again, if I had the two piece set, it wouldn't be long before I would want two router tables so it wouldn't be necessary to switch them and set up the height every time.

I can’t imagine the frustration of having to deal with the setting up one router bit for multiple changes. Which configuration would you start with, the chicken or the egg? And would you have any wood scraps left after you set it up? My SawStop router lift has some nice looking number doohickeys on the lift control, maybe learning how to use them would be a good thing to do in this case?

The set I have has a fixed size tongue cutter. After a number of years, I sent it out to be sharpened and when it came back, the fit was a bit sloppy because the groove was now slightly larger than it used to be. They would have ground some more off the tongue cutter to make a larger tongue, but at an extra charge and since the same outfit had ruined a saw blade as well, I decided not to throw good money after bad and replaced the set.

An adjustable set would have allowed me to solve that problem on my own and I thought about buying one at that point, but decided it wasn't worth it to me in time and effort.

FWIW, that is pretty steep price wise for a T&G bit set... The fixed width ones are fetching in the $20.00 range...
