My heart and prayers go to you and your family as you walk thru this dark storm. I hope you have folks local who are wrapping their arms around you and your family during this time. I know all of us here are. I thank you for being so "real" and keeping the faith. I know words may feel hollow, but know we are all here for you and your family. May God hold you close and reveal his perfect will for her. God watch over you brother.
i read your latest update, sorry to hear the prognosis is so bad. I can only give you my deepest sympathy and tell you that you've made the right decision. God speed and hope you and your family deals with the loss well.
This will be the last update. My dear wife Jan graduated to heaven about 11:30p on 12/27. Your prayers and mine did not change the outcome but I am convinced they are hugely helpful in getting me and our two kids through this. Her stroke was ultimately just to badly placed and too large for her to recover.
There will be a public viewing at 5-9 pm on Wednesday, December 31st at Thompson's funeral home of Lexington at 4720 August Road in Lexington, SC. There will be a memorial service followed by what I am calling a celebration of Jan's life beginning at 3pm and ending at 7pm at our church, Lexington Baptist at 224 East Main Street in Lexington, SC. I believe the website for the church is www.lexingtonbaptist.org.
We are on-line buddies and most of you live prohibitive distances away but if anybody wants to attend, please know you are welcome. There is plenty of parking and space.
Thanks again for your support and again I will say that it was very, very helpful. Just because we do not get what we want does not mean God did not hear and respond to our prayers.
I am so very sorry, Jim. But she is in a place of comfort and safety. You will be reunited someday. My hopes are for continued strength for you and your family, and the ability to move past this into tomorrow. All of the good people on this site will hold you and yours in our thoughts.
May God's loving and comforting grace strengthen and console you and your family and keep you through this journey. May He lovingly grant what you and your family needs, though it may not be what you want.
Oh Jim, I really hate to hear this. Rest assured she's in a much better place now. My deepest sympathy to you, your children and the rest of your family.
My sympathy and prayers for your comfort go out to you and your family in these darkest hours of need. My our Lord and Master be there to guide you through the troubled waters that lie ahead.
Know that we are here for you when you need to blow some steam.
Sorry to hear of this. We will pray for you and your family. I know it is hard to let go, and the emotions that God gave you and your family are real, these emotions and memories are saddened. However they also include wonderful wonderful memories. Our prayers are with you.
