Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. Take it easy and listen to Carole and yourDoc. Shrimp on the BarBee is probably ok but the red meat not. Take and get back in shop when you can.

        Rod,

Glad to hear you are doing well and more importantly that you did the right thing and got medical attention right away. My wife is a cardiologist and she has so many stories of people who will pack a bag first, wait till tomorrow, or just hope it goes away while their heart is sustaining progressive damage.

Glad the OZ service was so prompt, as were you & LOYL in calling. A little surprised you didn't insist on MDF stents tho'.

Now, get on with those lifestyle changes and stick with 'em!

                      Rod,

I was away yesterday and didn't hear about your close call. I hope all is well with you now.

I understand MDF is high in cholesterol.

                        Thanks, Guys.

I did try for MDF stents but the Doc gave me a funny look and said "I think we'll stick to the teflon coated ones" (no sense of humor )

We all knew it was going to happen... Rod opened to the door to the shop and some gremlin had left a pile of saw(mdf) dust smack dab in the middle of the floor... the stress was more than he could bear

Glad to hear it was just a nudge Rod... do what the doc says and you should be around for quite some time to inspire more of us.

I'm happy to hear you came through OK.

Rod shouldn't be the only one among us who has to make a lifestyle change. We should all join him (if we haven't already). I like red meat as much as anyone but the wife and I eat it in moderation. Same for alcohol. Neither of us smokes. Our only real vice is inadequate exercise.

                              Speedy recovery, Rod.

Rod, I know exactly where you are coming from. Dec 11, 2006, much the same symptoms, my son, the paramedic drives me from my office to the ER, 7 days later after many tests and some discussion with the Docs, I get two new arteries. Got to spend my 53 birthday in the hospital but I did get to go home on Christmas Eve. Best **** Christmas I ever had cause I got to celebrate it at all.
