    Old Articles Restored

Yesterday and today I worked on restoring the old articles to the forums. There is a new article section called Archived Articles that contains these.

In the end, there was no way to get the old format back so they were extracted from the database were reposted manually. A few required updating and reformatting so they may not appear exactly as they were, but the content is unchanged.

Many thanks... but how do I get past all these new, unread posts easily?

Great to see a lot of the old articles revived and available. Some good info in those articles.

      Thanks for the hard work!

It was tedious, but a lot of fun reminiscing as I went through each one, posted them, and marked down on my list the ones I wanted to read again.

Are these old revived archived articles going to be relocated in the BT3 related articles? New members and lurkers may find them easier there.

I think that is a good idea although the old categories for these don't necessarily mesh with the article categories we have now. In any event, they will likely stay where they are at least until the site upgrade is completed. After that, the moderators can decide where their permanent home will be.

The final item from the old Articles has been reposted. It was a javascript that needed to be taken out of an .asp container page and put into an .html page. It turned out to be about three lines of code.
