    Rockler Interlock Signmakers Template sets.

So I went with the State Park font, I know there are other fonts that can be had but for what I want to do, State Park is perfect.

And I got stupid, and got all 3 size template sets.

Apparently each set requires its own size signmakers router bit.

They DO include the bushing, just not the bit...

I forgot that from when I bought my original template set, to when I purchased the others, and just now opened them only to find, no router bits in the boxes...

I guess this is the grown up version of batteries sold separately.

Yep, Same here, router bits extra. I do need to get my sign maker out and make some signs - mostly names for my grandkids for each to hang on their wall.

My idea was Christmas gifts, which is why I wanted the 3 sizes... Now if only I could find the National Forest sign font templates...

This may help you. I found this to be the best way to hold the workpieces and the templates without impeding the movement of the router with clamps holding the top of the work pieces. Modified some wooden handscrew clamps so that they could be held down with Fence clamps.

This was the 1.5" letter set on 2.5" wide wood, the 12" handscrew clamps can easily open to hold say 4" and the next larger size, 2.5" letters.

    See link for entire story.

What router bits did you order?
      • Flat bottom grooving bits
      • Round nose
      • Sign lettering 60 degree Vee
I think in the end I liked the flat bottom grooving best,

Not sure about the specs as they haven't arrived yet (slow shipping!) but it was whatever item numbers were listed on the template boxes, they are the round nose ones just don't recall the specific sizes...
    Working...
