I have a 10" bandsaw, but it has a 7" resaw capacity and two speeds, so it does an OK job the few times I resaw something thicker than 3 1/2". I read a bunch of articles on drift and how to deal with it. I decided to use the establish the drift with the blade you are using and adjust the fence for that. I made my own resaw fence that clamps to the saw table and it's worked pretty well. I've not had to add a pivot point after all these years. The fence was made from oak plywood scraps, and hardware in the junk boxes.

Cut down to size. Decided on 5" and 2"

I figure a fence supporting 2/3 or more of the height of the workpiece should be good enough.
