You should sell protective lenses with every laser guided fly swatter though. I want a laser chisel, not a laser guided chisel, mind you, just a laser chisel! woot! Can't wait for that day!

How about a laser equiped tooth insert for those who have trouble finding their pie hole with a spoon or fork.

Oh me too! I suggested months ago that eventually we'll have laser bandsaws.

I'll guess that the next great Sears® idea will be laser guided Craftsman® toilet paper.

Maybe we should just up the power of the laser and use that as the cutter then we will be sure of a straight line.

                Straight throught the wood
                straight through the bench
                straight through your leg...

If you want to see some fun with Lasers look at the video for MTEHL being developed at White Sands Missle Range. The project is a joint US - Isreali development. I happened to be on the grounds the day of the first simultaneous rocket shootdown.

This may be the laser chisel

What I really want is a laser guided laser. That way I know if my laser is straight.

already exists, I own one. It came with my 32" Sharp CRT TV about 7 years ago... It has a little button with a laser pointer on it... I have yet to figure out why... If I had a cat it might be fun...

That's why I always work in the shop in complete darkness. Saw blades don't look nearly as dangerous when you can't see them.

Actually my Video projector remote has one too. I use it for movies but it works with PCs so the laser pointer is handy for presentations.

After I stared at the picture of the saw a few minutes, I think I understood it. The laser line is projected down from the handle so you can make sure it's pointed the way you actually think it's pointed. For those who aren't so coordinated and have to work in an environment without power, it might be of some benefit.
I really am going to make something one of these days.

Uh Huh. And if the laser is on the ceiling, turn the saw over, right.

I heard the next version is going to have an IR laser so the light won't bother you.

I know a guy that plays the saw as a musical instrument like a violin. Now that laser could create some stage lighting show.
