Table saw poll

Currently a BT3000 and a 22124. Like Jeffrey I put the 22124 as a cabinet saw as I believe it is considered a light -duty cabinet saw rather than a hybrid.

Had a BT3100 for 3 years, now have a PM2000. Both great saws, definitely an upgrade though.

BT3000 for Me, it still works great and does all I ask it to do. So far I have not felt a need to change. Bill

BT3100 for about 2 years. I keep thinking how great it would be to upgrade, but eerytime I turn on the BT and cut some wood, I am reminded at what a great saw it is!

Craftsman top of the line contractors saw 3 years ago. They were clearing it out to make way for the zip code saws. An $800 saw for $168, couldn't pass it up. Love that cast iron. Put me on the dark side.

yeah, i set it so you could vote more than once, if you owned two saws, also there's three categories for saw size (<=8, 10, >=12") which is an poll within a poll. So you want to see the dixtribution of any one you have to add the subcategories and divide by the sum of the subcategories.

So far with 150 respondents, 123 people report owning some form of BT3
and another 40 people report owning some other type of saw...
That makes about 73 percent BT3s on this site
and some 13 people own more than 1 saw (of those 13 some own more than 1 BT3 apparently, other have dark-side saws.)
and so far 3 people report owning 8" or smaller saws and the rest 146 own 10" saws and one guy has no saw at all.

BT3100 and my very first saw, a BTS10 (yeah, I know) which only gets used at away from my shop. And like Sawatzky, I have no desire to upgrade from my BT3.

Having a budget of only $400 to $450 when I needed a table saw. I was looking for the biggest bang for the buck. Shopped many different stores and websites. Looked at many different models (also manufacturers sites) Decided that the Sears 21829 for me had the biggest bang for my dollar. Darn thing is a portable woodworking machine when coupled with a good blade a good router (and a better router fence) and a few outfeed rollers.

I actually just bought my first table saw, due to lack of space I had to get a portable saw so I got the Ridgid TS2400LS and after a pleasant experience of putting it together and using it a few times I come to the conclusion that this is the saw for me (even if I am on the dark side).

A BT 3000 in Japan; 3100 in USA, a Sears contractors saw disassembled, (space);

Have owned a Unisaw. Didn't need that much saw though, hard to keep perfect alignment.

I have a BT3100 that is certainly seeing a lot less work. I also have what could be construed as a 7 1/4", 8 1/4" and may soon upgrade my worm drive, to a 10 1/4" "table" saw. Been using my Eurekazone a LOT more, both due to portability and the various projects. At this point, I think it may be replacing my saw (reason for upgrading the worm drive).

Before, I was watching the Sawstop contractor, thinking about having a saw in multiple locations.

Had a Sears TS with jointer many years ago. Then had a Shopsmith for a while. No table saw at present, just a great bandsaw. Still lurking.
