    Posting a New Thread/Topic.

IS there a way in the Menu that we can go straight to "Post a new thread/topic" and from there choose in a drop down menu - for which forum to put it in?

I personally, and it may be just me, find it discombobulated to have to go to "Forums" then scroll down to the correct Forum and choose it, then Create New Topic.

    Comments?

Often I am in a forum, reading a topic/post and then think of a new subject along that line that I would like to post something. But I have to go to Forums and choose from there. It would be nice to have "Start new Thread/Topic in the menu above.

The answer to this question has changed. A new feature has been added to the site in the menu bar - "Create New"

Clicking on this will open a new window or tab depending on your browser settings and provide a list of list of the common forums and article sections. Clicking one of these will take you to the create thread/article window for the selected item.

The short answer is no, not at this time, but I think with a bit of setup I could make it work.

The url to create a new topic is the same everywhere except the numerical channel id.

I don't see the Create New tab in Chrome nor FireFox on W10 or iOS on the iPad. Am I doing something wrong?

Nope. Ran CCleaner on the PC and both FF and Chrome still don't display the new tab. Cleared both FF and Chrome and rebooted the iPad and no new tab. Also stopped and restarted FF and Chrome on iPad with no change.

How very strange. Comes up for me, but it might due to permissions. Curiouser and curioser...

Just tried it with Samsung's browser on an Android 10 tablet. No sign of the new tab.

4:15 AM edit: shows up in both Firefox and Chrome on Winblows 7. And it now shows up on my Android tablet. twistsol's latest Abracadabra seems to have worked.

Please check again and post here. I just cleared and reset the permissions for it. Moderators and Admins have had this for about a week, but I just released to the rest of the site this morning.
