Did you rate this thread with 3 stars?
Were you able to rate this thread, or did it say that you had already rated it?

Couldn't do it, as you suspected, it said that I had already rated this thread. So, I rate this thread 4 stars for not letting me rate this thread. Why would anyone want to rate a thread in the first place? Where do ratings go, if anywhere?

Yay! I'm not losing my mind after all!

Is there a moderator out there who has taken note of this bug?

sweensdv -- I see the ratings on the front page next to the thread title. But if they're not commonly used, they can be misleading. For example, 1 star (which is a "Terrible" rating) looks better than no stars at all (which is most common).

MODS - I don't know if it's configurable, but you might consider changing the ratings to "Good", "Better", "Excellent", "Superb!" and "Will turn your life around" -- or something along those lines...

This is not a guarantee that you are not losing your mind; it merely says that in this instance, you have confirmed what you thought you saw.
Take it from someone with mind losing experience!

Oh, yeah, it said I had already done it also.

                      Can't rate it.

I doubt Sam will mess with the bug at this point. We don't use the thread rating feature that much. We should eventually be going to VB4 in the near future too.

In the admincp on a VB install of mine there are options for allowing a user to change his rating and when to display the ratings in the forumdisplay.php and showthread.php. The default is for 2 rating votes needed for a rating to show up.

The "Update Thread Last Post on Poll Vote" switch would be a good one to change from what we have now. A person voting in a poll wouldn't show the thread as it had new posts. Might mean less participation in polls though.

It says I already rated this thread. I plead not guilty as I did not rate it now or in the past. I didn't even know I had the ability to do so. Honest I'm innocent. It could have been my evil twin.
