Cheap dust separator for Drill Press

After replacing the bag on my small shop vac tool triggered on the drill press (and the band saw next to it) and finding the bag nearly empty but all clogged up with the big shavings from forstners, I got this dust sep from temu. We'll see how it works, maybe I should have got the one with a mini cyclone...
Don't plug the nozzle or the bucket will collapse!

Lchien, I do declare! I believe you have as much clutter around your drill press as I do. It must be a good sign. The drill press is definitely a source of wood sawdust but the band saw has it beat hands down. I have yet found a suitable way to collect the dust under the band saw blade.

The dust from the BS is very fine compared to the chips that come off the DP.
However, I swap the hose to the port in the back of the BS blade housing, it catches a lot of the BS dust. I have both the DP and the BS plugged into the same strip and tool trigger that turns on the vac.

Hey Loring. Just curious. Why not tie into your regular DC? On mine, when I bother to collect from the drill press, I have the end outlet / blast gate on my plumbing that is for the lathe OR the drill press. I see your drill press is on a wheeled base, just wheel it close to where you have a blast gate, and hook up the hose... The shavings drop really well using the neutral vane...

Its across the shop and too crowded to wheel the DP around; the shop vac Collector serves the DP and BS, next to each other.
Need an additional cheap vac, saves running duct plumbing all over the place.

I did dust collection on my drill press under the larger table I made from a sink cutout. There is a box under the table with a 2 1/2" vac port. It's just visible under the table. The insert in the table accepts 4" square 1/4" plywood panels that can be drilled with different patterns. The second picture is the setup with the dedicated mortising table that also attaches to the drill press table.
