    Rained or drizzled almost all day long... Took me the whole day to assemble the bag holder but it should handle 60 pound bags of dirt and rocks. Need to put all the fasteners in to hold it to the bench tomorrow if its not raining.

    If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

      Time out for Pinewood derby cars... and coming up with a design for the shelves. I think I have one now.

          Talking about how long the wood lasts, after my mother passed away we added a screen patio enclosure onto my fathers house. It required that I take up the 30’ picket fence that my father installed in 1953. I saved a lot of the original 3/4 x 4” pickets.... I couldn’t let them go. 50 years of hard service of being pounded by baseballs and basket balls and all the South Georgia summer sun. Only a few had rot on the bottom where leaves had gotten piled up against them. These boards were pine that had been treated with creosote and after the numerous layers of old oil paint was scraped off the still looked green. Lumber purchases now wouldn’t last 10 years. Boy I miss me some creosote wood! I plan of taking these remaking pickets and constructing a fence around my central air conditioner. Maybe I will knock off some of the flaking paint, maybe not?

            You bring back some old memories and I miss the smell of creosote posts!

              creosote = carcinogenic

              There's a plume of creosote (railroad tie treatment) in the ground near the old Union Pacific rail depot near downtown Houston and Lukemia cases there are 5 times normal rates.

                Almost done, got the back up and the shelves mounted. Curved top outlined and jig sawed. Made it a little difficult for myself based on the order... Star cutout (Because it's Texas, y'know), a little Edge beading for the shelves.

                  Done. Put on the towel bar/hanging rack she wanted and demolished the old one and moved this one into place.

                  I love the way the star pops out of the shadow! Unexpected feature!
