    Cutting Asphalt

I need to cut a rectangular hole for a drain in my driveway. It’s about four inches thick. I don’t know the size of the hole I need because I haven’t bought the drain yet. What suggestions does the Brain Trust here have for cutting the hole.

More details: No cars park where the drain hole will be. There is compacted gravel under the asphalt, and drains under that.

    Many thanks!

What happens when you get the hole cut? What does the drain connect to?
It’s hard to cut a square or rectangular hole in paving. As Black Walnut said, rental concrete saw, 4” of packed asphalt is hard to dig out. .
