    I think so.
My Father has a large in ground pool that is Salt Water.
Tastes normal. We absolutely love and get a lot of use out out that pool.
    No clothing required after dark.

The best way to describe it is that the amount of salt is similar to what a water softener puts in your tap water. No feeling that you need to hit the shower like getting out of a chlorinated pool.

With about 4' of legs under the deck, I don't to chance the bracing not being strong enough. With the 2 2x10 beams bolted into dados on both long sides, I think corner braces will be more than enough.

My concern is making sure the ends are stable. I could add a pair of lag bolts through the 2x8 joists at each post along with construction adhesive, but I'm not sure that is going to be enough. Has anyone done a high freestanding deck like this? How did you brace it? Like I said earlier, the end away from the steps will have a plywood storage cabinet installed that could be secured to both the legs and the end joist.

The pool water has salinity slightly less than tears. You taste just a touch of saltiness.

The grandkids love it. When you the get pH adjusted and the salt correct you can open your eyes underwater with no irritation.

This was my third summer using the system and I transferred most of my chemical bank account money (only $17 worth of salt this summer) over to my beer and Margarita account!
You might think I haven't contributed much to the world, but a large number
of the warning labels on tools can be traced back to things I've done...

Don, when we have high platforms for wheelchair ramps (think mobile homes - the doors are at least 36-40 inches off the ground) we put diagonal cross braces between the legs. Triangles are nice sturdy shapes.
