    Very nice!! You are doing better than some of us newbs! As for lumber, in your parts of the country I believe you should be able to find more readily than east coast: alder, tanoak, madrone, bay laurel and of course ....claro walnut. FWW reports those to be readily accessible to the west coast. Save me your scraps of claro

        I don't see anything wrong with any of your work. I am especially jealous of the burning and scroll work. Two things I have neither the artistic talent or patience for.

          Wow, great stuff! As many others have said, if you're just a "newbie" then I've got a lot of work to do to catch up! I love the artistic nature of the work. That's one area I don't have an eye for.
