I just realized that my BT3000 rip fence has lost its "dowel pin"; this is listed as part # 8, figure 61, on Ray Girling's online BT3000 manual[/img]; the number of this part is reversed with the "roll pin" (part #4) in the online BT3100 manual, but I think "dowel pin" sounds right to me. The manual says this pin has dimensions of 3/4" x 1/4"; can someone tell me what material this item is made from? Are there any protrusions or indentations that I should know about as I try to fashion a replacement? (Rather than ordering something from the US, I'd like to jury rig something here if it's not too difficult).
TIA
On second thought, does anyone have any article or procedures manual for disassembling the rip fence? It looks like the clamper needs lubrication and adjustment as well.
