Who is still using thier BT3 ?????

I was just curious of how many of the veteran woodworkers on this sight still use the BT3 as a primary saw. I just read about many switching to the so called (dark side) for various reasons.

In theory I'm still using mine. Of course, I haven't made sawdust in anger in months!

I'm using mine but not as much as I would like. I'm still using the BT3 for the same reasons I purchased it. Accurate and inexpensive saw that does not take up a lot of room in my garage workshop. If I ever get a dedicated shop I will think about a larger saw.
        Thanks again,
        Mike

I still run mine about 4 days a week. I haven't found a good reason to switch yet. It does everything I want it to do without complaint.

I do! Believe it or not, most cabinet saws would be a downgrade for me.

Cabinet saws offer more power. But in every other regard (riving knife, dust collection, fence that locks front and back, low weight [I have a bad back]), I prefer my BT3K!

Give me a BT3K w/ a sharp blade and I can get anything I need to done.

I'm still using mine (sort of). I haven't turned it on in about 5 months. I have some projects that LOML decreed will be Christmas gifts though, so we'll see.

My shop went from BT3100 to PM2000. Big change, but my Dad's shop is still a BT3100, and I use it when up there for a variety of things. Very good saw for the money.

                    I regularly use mine.

Unfortunately right now it is a table loaded with irrigation (irritation?) stuff.

I swear the guys that installed the system around my house were either drunk or stoned. Probably both!

Well, I'm not a veteran, and technically, I don't have a BT3, but my 21829 is working well.

Unless it dies, I don't see much reason to switch. I'm not good enough (yet) to make use of a better saw.

I am committed to it. I recently built a mobile base with extended rails for it. I also picked up a complete used unit cannibalize for spares in the future. It meets all my needs.

who is still using their BT3 ?

I am still using mine, (BT3100) still going strong and no problems as yet.
In the future may be a hybrid or a 1940 Unisaw, if I can find one that I can
buy affordably ( my dream saw for now). eezlock

Still using mine; not planning to change any time soon. I've got it set up to do things the way I want to do them and it does them well. I'm sure high buck units do things well too but not many have a riving knife so it's a moot point. LOML says if I ever get another table saw, it WILL be a SawStop!
                              So, there you have it!
