They're Honest Too

Just noticed the original bill total (including Vet 10%) was $69.12, yet this final current bill is cheaper at $68.51. My review of the shipping and tax revealed an error on their Florida tax computation of $4.53 (8.08%). Florida tax is 7% which comes to $3.92. I didn't catch it, but they did, so Hats Off to Home Depot's Honesty!

I re-upped my order about 15 minutes after the apology email arrived, so I expected to be near the front of the list.

I received a shipping notice this morning too. When I checked the UPS tracking it said that my package had already been delivered the next state over, back in October on the 20th. Customer service told me "they reuse tracking numbers". I wasnt worried but I do like to see where it is. Kind of like watching the Santa tracker. LOL

My 2000 and 3000 shipped yesterday. UPS didn't process them until late so they won't get here until Tuesday. I'm not complaining, just jealous of those who get thiers before me.

Now I've got to start researching jigs for this thing. I would like it to do more than just chisels and planes.

If anyone runs into a situation like mine where they reuse tracking numbers, there is an area called "Shipment Progress" that did show me where my package is...including the original package that was tied to that number lasy year...lol At least I can still check progress of the order.

Mine shipped on 1/27 and UPS has the following as of today, 2/1:

A label for this shipment has been created, but UPS does not yet have possession of this shipment. Once we receive the shipment, the tracking status will be updated.

Not really 'shipped' yet.
