think it will hold a makita 1-" SCMS? how does it mount? drill and bolt it to table?
I mounted the makita LS1013L 10" SCMS to the MSUV.
Used one existing hole(top right as you stand in front of table) Drilled 3 other holes.Up and working.

I went in today. They had about 6 of them in a stack marked $99. I used a 20% off coupon and a gift card. Left the building with it costing me about $34. After setting it up and using it, I can already tell it's one of my best deal scores in a long time. Thanks for bringing it up, I missed it last time.

Hard to say. The last time it was on sale, the sale was only for the weekend.

If you are going to be building a deck, MSUV makes it great for cutting as well making it quite a bit easier to put away at the end of the day. The MSUV also works great with a planer.

Indicated on the box - 3 year warranty. The $99 appears to be the new lower price for the MSUV, not a sale price. The stand looks very nice but huge and heavy. I spotted several at my local BORG but did not buy one (did not need one).

I've had one of these for about a year. I think it's great for hauling the saw to the job. Around the house, that is. I would not buy this if I wanted something to take to a jobsite. Too bulky and heavy for that.

I took a good look at one last night and measured the spacing of the mounting holes. I need to compare them to the holes on my PC SCMS.

Anyone know what the finish is? Painted or powder coated?

The date at the bottom of the priec tag is 04/05/06. That may be the end date of the sale.

                    It's powder coated.

Don't get too concerned about the hole spacing. You can bolt your CMS to a chunk of plywood (counterbored for the head) and then bolt the plywood to match any of the holes in the stand.

I just drilled new holes. I don't think I would like a 12" saw up another 3/4" for a piece of plywood. It is a little "top" heavy with the tall saw, as it is. I just rubbed a little paste wax around the holes I made to help preventing corrosion.

Called my local HD and they still had 10 in stock at the $99 price as of today (Tuesday). I asked how long the sale was going on for, and they said that SKU is not set up for reorder, so possibly until they are gone.

If you missed it this weekend, it appears that this $99 deal is more than the 2-3 sale seen last year, so you might be able to call around and still find it for the $99 price.

                              Regards,

                              Pete
