MSUV stands for Miter Saw Utility Vehicle. Cute name, but a great Miter saw stand at a great price. I got one and put my Delta 12" miter saw on it. I had to drill some holes to mount it because the mounting holes were not right. This is very easy to set up and take down, very mobile and very stable. I highly recomment it for anyone who needs a mobile miter saw stand.

This is Bojack's first post - maybe he meant to post words about his "Monster SUV" in some other forum.

Bojack - suggestion - you need to realize that some of us need mental help...

But good luck - I hope your MSUV saws/routes/compresses/carves/holds/drills well.

Welcome and thanks for the tip.

People should not give you a hard time about an official acronym. You actually spelled out exactly what you meant right in the post! Not to mention the fact that it is a listed acronym in the Getting Started section sticky.

That's a great price (regular price is $149 on HD's website).

In what part of the country did you find this deal?

I have one and have been extremely pleased. I don't have a dedicated shop and need things to be portable. If the weather is nice, I wheel it just out my back door and cut away.

I got one when they were on sale a little while back. This is a great place to install your CMS.

For those that don't have one yet just beware this thing weighs about as much as an suv. It's very handy for in the garage and around the house but I can hardle pick it up with the saw on it to put it in my Suburban. But, it's well worth $100.

How narrow will this stand close up, while still supporting the Miter Saw at cut level? I'm considering this to hold my new Delta 255L 12" miter, but I would like it available in the garage workshop without taking up as much space as the roller would require.

I'd guess it's about 3' wide with the rollers slid in toward the center. It's most useful if you're taking it outside or upstairs with you, as it's a heavy 2-wheel dolly style. I use it outside my garage, for instance, because I don't have decent dust collection set up for the CMS. If I were going to just use it in the workshop, I'd build a base with 4 casters for mobility.

I was thinking that would would be nice for moving outside to build the shed and deck. However, with the Delta's nice 2x4 mounting setup for the miter saw, it wouldn't take much time to knock together an outside miter station for that work. Then I can hook up a real castered workstation in the garage connected to my HF DC system. Woah, I think I just talked myself OUT of purchasing a tool. That is a rare thing indeed.

I have one of these as well and its prefect for my garage/part-time workshop. It only takes a few seconds to go from stowed away to ready for action. The wheels are big enough for hauling around yards on outdoor projects too.

By stowed away, do you mean down to the "hand truck" level? I guess that could save even more space.
