    I am sooooo sore

We are redoing the laundry room. SWMBO finally decided she wanted cabinets and a nice sink in there. So out with the utility sink on its metal stand and in with a vanity cabinet, solid surface top and a high arch faucet along with wall to wall cabinets above the machines and sink. No, I"m not installing things, we (fortunately for me) subbed that out to a local cabinet shop. I'm just painting the room in preparation for the install. The old arthritic joints (knees, hips, hands, and shoulders) are really complaining about all of the up and down ceiling to floor activity. It certainly has been a memorable weekend. Peace to all out there.

share some pictures please when its done. We’re actually in the process of getting a new house ourselves, and it’s been such an exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) journey. Huge thanks to this bank of america customer — their team really helped us through the financing process and made it feel possible. Right now, I’m gathering all the interior design ideas I can find — from color palettes to furniture layouts and cozy little décor touches. So I’m always inspired by what others are doing with their space

Since my knee replacement in January, the bone on bone pain is gone, but now - that freedom allows me to feel the arthritis pain that was there all along!

The other day, a neighbor offered my some excess small river rock. Since it matched what we have all around our home, I said sure. I hooked the 7 cu.ft. Gorilla Cart to the electric riding mower and headed over to pick up the stone. Imagine my surprise when I discovered about three trailer loads of material. The cart has a 1,200 pound capacity and I think there was about 2,000 pounds of stone. So shoveling that into the cart and un-shoveling it around the house led to a very sore back. I was wearing my knee stabilizers, so they were spared the workload somewhat. Two days later and I'm still using the heating pad on the back.

I used to talk about some of the young people around me and the dumb things they did . . . and now it is coming back to haunt me for the dumb things I do that my body doesn't like!

We have a garage sale pile in the basement and throughout the year, things go down there. This morning I had the privilege of carrying all the bins up the stairs so my wife can sort and tag everything in them. On about trip 12 up the stairs with a particularly heavy bin, one of my knees said "nope, I'm done." So the remaining half dozen bins came up the stairs one stair at a time moving the bin up a step, moving my self up a step and repeat. At 60, I think you both have decade or more on me so I'm still at that stage where I'm surprised every time my body doesn't do what it did when I was thirty.

Garage sale is in two weeks so I still get to load into the truck to take to my daughter's house and set it all up.

Jim, My doctor wanted me to have knee replacement surgery last October, but my SWMBO said the same thing - AFTER New Years!

Most of my friends that have put off knee surgery for a length of time after the Dr. had advised them to have the surgery have really regretted postponing it for so long. They all had some sort of complications and added pain. One friend that needed hip replacement put it off for several years, weakening all of his muscles. After he did have the replacement surgery he couldn’t do the therapy and complications required the surgeon to remove the new hip. 1 year later he is bed bound without a hip and has has no hope of ever getting a replacement.
Don’t put off necessary surgery just to move a few boxes!

My surgeon has stated that as long as the cortisone shots are working, I can do the surgery any time I want. I'm planning on the first one this coming January and the other one the following January.
