One of the recent posts regarding a shop setup question referred to his wife having some say in the matter.
Which made me wonder how many of us are hitched for how long?

It'll be 15 years this December to my current SWMBO, my ex and I were married for 13 years, well, it was 13 years from the wedding to the divorce date. Long story.

          I'm between years 20 and 21, but closer to 21 so I marked 21-30.

Ten votes so far. From the early results, looks like we as a group are a bunch of old long time married guys.

Twelve now. At 45 years my wife and I are only 50 percentile for this group!

you guys are an impressive lot, we should be marriage counselors:
I'm assuming the 2 guys married less than 20 years just aren't old enough!!!

In the interests of full disclosure, Mae and I will celebrate our 45th anniversary this Sunday, Father's day, 3 days after my birthday. I think it was a bit of trickery where Anniversary, birthday and Father's day all fall within the span of 3 days usually.

Sort of like being born too close to Christmas. It means only one tool instead of three.

We're sort of in that mode where we don't give each other gifts anymore, we just tell each other to get something they want.

And eating out won't be celebrating, we have been eating out for three weeks now since the kitchen is under remodeling and basically inaccessible.

Not in my case. I'm in my late 50s. Never found anybody I wanted to marry. Never had much interest in being married actually.

                          Happy belated birthday, Loring!

My Dad's birthday is actually today. Yes, I'll call him. My parents found out about my relationship with my wife when we were first dating because I didn't call my Dad on the morning of his birthday. I was in DC with her before she headed overseas to the Peace Corps. My Mom called my work, they ratted me out, and when I called my Dad later that afternoon, I got the "Where are you?" even before I could get out Happy Birthday. I'm in that dutiful son ethnic camp.

And Happy Father's Day to all the dad's here. In Central America, Mother's and Father's Days are official national holidays (days off), and they are on fixed days. Mother's Day is May 10 and Father's Day is June 17.

                          Paul
