I guess I didn't really design the poll right. There should be three options.
Keep changing. two times a year
Go to standard time only (no changes)
Go to Daylight time only (no changes)

I guess voting for the second of the actual poll options means no changes, use either standard or daylight all year long.

Isn't it back an hour for the fall? Or are you just trying to get me to show up to work extra early tomorrow?

Personally, I would move it back to where DST used to be. Nice to have the longer daylight in the summer months, but waiting until early November is a bit late I think. I've got a Panasonic VCR to DVD recorder that just changed itself a few weeks ago.

Either way I guess, I can live with it,

Daylight at later hours = good. Can do outside chores, yardwork, etc. after getting home from work. Kids would have some daylight after school & dinner for outdoor play/exercise.

Daylight at early hours, prior to going to work = useless because I can't make noise that early without annoying the still-sleeping neighbors. And I'd still be sleeping myself. Going to work is bad enough as it is... going to work while wasting precious daylight sucks even more!

Clocks should be adjusted so sunset = 6PM or later... I'd vote 8PM or later!

Monday edit: Several coworkers today grumbled about it being dark and it wasn't even time to go home yet. That left them rather depressed.

You're right. I did the right thing, just wrote the wrong thing. Brain fart.

Can we arrange it so we get up an hour later and work an hour less and get home an hour earlier? That'd be great.
Oh, wait, I already have that. Its called retirement time.

I'm in AZ where we don't do this idiocy. I voted "get rid of it" although I don't really care as it doesn't affect me. I do know that many of my customers have to make accommodations for it, which are disruptive to everyone all around. It's a crazy old concept that needs to die.

I travel enough that I change time zones two or three times a week. A couple more changes throughout the year is no big deal so I voted I don't care.

Today, however, I was trying to reconstruct the timing of a critical issue raised Sunday morning at 2:30AM in Italy and the response (or lack thereof) from IT and with the time changes in various places occurring at different times relative to one another I was going nuts.

I was in Budapest, Hungary finishing a vacation on Sunday, October 27th. I was surprised that DST in Europe ended one week before the DST ended in the US. So I was able to celebrate ending DST twice this year in addition to the change in the time zones.

Looks like most people don't like it that much.
