A vacuum tube puller...how unique. I can remember back when...checking old tubes from TV's down at the local store. I think it was a drug store. Nope. Good guess, but not it.

Oil Can Spout ... the kind we USED to have to punch in the top of the metal can ... now ... most if not all are plastic "bottles" ...

Lots of other choices but I like this one.

Can't be that. I use one almost ever week. Of course it's at a broadcast museum...

From what I remember it was around the early 80's that the plastic bottles came out. As a kid, I remember the oil cans were metal, and then were made with a paper of some sort. I thought that the spout was a pretty good idea. But, even if you got a good shot with inserting it, there always was that chance it would leak.

I actually used mine, less then a month ago. Eleven years ago, I bought my Ranger with a blown motor, and picked up one with 40K out of a friends junk yard. When I put it in the truck, I picked up a couple of Gunk engine cleaner cans (was still in cans then) and never used them. The big truck had some oil fluctuations and broke loose some of the gunk from the former owner (wasn't good about changing it). I ran both cans through it and used the old spout. I still have four, Kendall 10w40 cans that I keep with it.
I found out afterwards, that Gunk is now in plastic bottles.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Clue #7 ??? I always used two hands, one to hold the can and the other push the spout in.

I'm sure there's one of those in my garage somewhere.

Is it a collectors item yet? can i sell it for $50?
