what do you want for Father's Day?

so what are you asking for for Father's Day?

(for me, father's day, my anniversary and my birthday all fall in about the same 3-5 day span every year.)

To spend time with my family and not be working on any projects.

For the little urchins to remember the time and effort I put in for them.

If they call to say they did while I'm out in the shop playing with my toys that's a plus. ( astonishing would be a better description), but not expected.
Some parallel clamps would be nice too.

Even a tie would be nice, I've never gotten one.

Early mass so I can sing with the choir, some guilt free time in the shop, a NASCAR race complete with nap, steaks on the grill with the family.

I ask for the same thing every year, for birthday, Father's Day, Christmas, anniversary, etc. etc. etc.

          And never really get it.

All I want is a 1-2 hour nap on a rainy weekend day.

This may sound funny, but how about a pregnant wife? No kids here yet, and we aren't getting any younger.

Good luck. If it doesn't happen, consider adoption. We have 2 grand-daughters who are adopted, a 4 year old and a 1 year old. They are as much a part of the family as the others.

Time with the family is all I need for Father's Day. I don't need anything else.

We had everything (fathers and mothers day and a couple birthdays) all grouped together last weekend due to the oldest having to study for law school finals. It was nice to get everyone together at once which seldom happens these days. The kids and wife chipped in together and got me a Freud Super Dado set, guess she had actually been paying attention when I was complaining about my current dado set leaving bat ears.

The only real gift I ever really wish for from my kids is for them to turn out to be well-educated, well-rounded, well-grounded, productive and happy adults. That really is a reflection of the job LOML and I do, so I guess it would really be a gift to myself .

I really don't care much for Father's Day to be honest. I know my kids love me and appreciate me all year. I don't need a day for someone else to tell them to tell me that they do.
