Anybody got their federal tax refund back?

I signed my completed return on Friday and my accountant said she would submit it by today. I thought she told me it would take about a week to get my refund, but on their website it says up to 3 weeks.

Poor judgment on my part to start spending it on Ebay...

Anybody gotten theirs yet? How long did it take?

I've had mine for weeks now..

This chart tells you when they will deposit it.

Thanks for the chart! If I get mine by March 5, I'll be a happy camper.

I was surprised by amount I'll be getting back--let's just say I could buy a couple of SawStop cabinet saws and Powermatic bandsaws with it. This is a consequence of paying an ungodly amount in alimony, which is tax deductable, and not having enough exemptions declared on my W-2.

Mine is not sent yet. It has been prepared for several weeks but I have several mutual funds and Schwaab does not send the 1099s until mid February and when they send it, they warn of potential changes. I'll probably send next week. I decided to wait a couple weeks or until about March 1. Last year there were late changes but they were almost trivial.

Nice to know that if you get it in by the Friday of one week, you can have your money by direct deposit by the following Saturday (at least that is how I read the chart which was a nice posting).

I have entered almost all the data in TurboTax Online, and know the approximate refund we are getting (almost 8k ), but have not yet hit the 'file' button. I am always worried I might not have looked at all my papers and want to do a generic sweep in my physical folders first.

Knowing myself, this might take weeks, though the actual task should take just 30 minutes ! Just can't get to sit in front of a ton of paperwork sifting thru it looking for something I don't know what, and may not even exist...!

It took about 3 weeks or so to get mine back. Last year it was about 10 days. My state refund was quicker. That was a surprise, as I thought it might be delayed weeks. last year it was slow. I didn't get all that much back this year, but at least I didn't have to pay.

I was at the error checking stage when Turbo Tax fussed loudly about the 1099s sent to me by Wachovia.... I rolled 401Ks into an IRA with another institution before the big slide... I lost some value, but not near as much as others that stayed pat... And my IRA is doing okay... Wachovia listed it on the 1099 that they cut me a check directly (the didn't) instead of a rollover... No wonder they got in trouble and sucked up by a bigger bank...

1997 was the last time I got a refund. This year won't be any different.
