    Quick Snacks

I'm kinda running out of creative snacks. I'm talking about something to eat right away. A snack to tide you over. One that cures a pang. Maybe something sweet, or one with a special taste. One of my favorites starts with just a piece of toast. First it's buttered, and then add peanut butter. Then sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on top...YEAH.

Hopefully, those with some innovative creations will chime in and maybe...just maybe, we'll have a nice list of choices. TIA...really.

    where to start ...
    I will limit my self

First this time of year Apples are in season, HoneyCrisp has the most flavor if you can find them.. Red Delicious is a second choice.

I make up a big batch of chocolate chip cookie dough them scoop cookie sized amounts on cookie sheets & freeze them. then once frozen put them in a zip lock bak in the freezer.. the theory being when ever you need a snack pop 2 or 3 .. or 7 in the toaster over & you have pure ambrosia in about 10-15 min. .... In practice, ... a few actually do make it to the toaster oven

For something a bit more nutritious, you can get 2-3" sized dinner rolls (Walmart here sells what they call "yeasty dinner rolls"). Cut them in half, and top with Muenster cheese, & garlic salt, & put under the toaster oven broiler until the cheese bubbles.

    ... I'm getting hungry .. back later..

Why would you want to ruin the taste of kimchi with strawberries?

Frosted Mini-Wheats, right out of the box you don't even have to put any beer on them. That's this weeks snack.

Next week I think it will be leftover turkey.

Isn't the taste of kimchi already ruined? I mean that is a bit like saying "Don't eat those cookies! It will spoil your appetite. We are having lutefisk for dinner!".

My father claimed that a man lost in the forest who found a tub of Lutkfisk and Limburger cheese would starve to death.

But wait! We have some people from Minnesota here, and that's the Lutkfisk capital of the world......

Not bad, how about a slice of banana instead of the marshmallows, and call it health food.

Croissant dough in the tubes in the refrigerator section. Roll dark chocolate chips in the dough triangles. [10-12 chips per] Brush with lightly whipped egg white and sprinkle with sugar. Cook as directed.

Quick and good enough for company.

                            My go to snacks are
                            • Pearson's Salted Nut Roll. I buy them in bulk at Sam's club
                            • Single serve packs of Cheezits. I also buy in bulk.
                            • Kraft Mozzarella cheese stick rolled in any lunch meat. Hard salami and ham are my favorites, but roast beef works if you add a bit of horseradish.
                            • Microwave popcorn. The Boyscout's Trail's End brand beats them all in my opinion.
