    Apple slices with either
    peanut butter
    baked brie
    cream-cheese

    strawberries and nutella

homemade pop-corn ( on the stove with real oil not that microwaved stuff, and god forbid you go with an air popper, you have to put 3X the butter on that stuff just to get it to hold a little salt) with a generous helping of sea salt, and an almost frozed root beer or real beer if you prefer

loose the peanut butter, replace the mini-marshmallows with 5 chocolate chips & top with a vanilla wafer throw in the microwave for 20-30 sec. or until the CCs are soft, then moosh the vanilla wafer down into the chocolate ..mmmmm

I had forgotten about that. Right out of the jar is good too.

Smoked fish on a saltine; salmon, walleye, well just about any fish.

and lets not forget those round corn chips with a piece of cheese and some salsa then popped under the broiler for a minute.

Have that every year on New Year's - tradition from my dad - I don't know where the heck he got that.

                  Other goodies from dad:

Bacon grease, lettuce & tomato sandwich - not "heartsmart" tho
                  Onion, butter & vinegar sandwich
Sardines with vinegar, salt, pepper and butter sandwich
(In recollection, seems like a theme here...)

One of my favorite quick snacks - Ritz cracker w/ Braunschweiger. M.

But I keep a bag of shredded cheese ("Nacho blend") and some tortillas on hand for a quick quesadilla now and then.
