Anyone have a Harbor Freight bar stool?

I am looking at bar stools, and I honestly like the flame job pattern on the Harbor Freight 91200, but is it any good?

Hard to go wrong with a stool. Unless you're cautious about the 300 # limit

If you are looking at them for a bar, this won't help. But for a workshop stool woodcraft has a nice one for $19,99 right now.

I have found that most bar stools look the same when staring straight up at them from the floor.

Hope they still have a few of them when I get home tonight... Gonna order two... I should have gotten a couple of the Anti Fatigue Mats when Loring pointed me to them.

I have a HF flame stool in my shop. I had to rebuild portions of it right out of the box, because it wasn't put together properly. It's not really comfortable (padding deficiencies, mostly) so I don't use it much.

that sounds like a "NO" in so many words to the OP's question.

You might ask if they have a little one you could try to see if you like it, you know, a stool sample??

In that context, I'd be worried about a flaming stool.

I had some trouble with my login account to Woodcraft's website last night for ordering... Will try again tonight, or see if I can get that price locally...

I actually want two stools. Might consider building my own, but haven't seen any upholstered swivel top stool designs I like other than the Chrome Leg ones... And I want a padded seat... The two stools is for me, and a visitor... I occasionally have a shop helper drop by you know...

Well.....Halloween is right around the corner. I'm thinking that would be more of a trick rather than a treat. The old flaming bag-o-poop trick.

I ordered 2 of them, along with a few pieces for my band saw to get the free shipping promotion from Woodcraft. They came in yesterday. They seem to be fairly well made with one distinct exception. Who picked the end cap thingies for the tubes? They look like they will wear through the first time I drag them across the shop floor!

I guess it is time to get to Ace Hardware and pick up some of those rubber cane tips for replacements. Just need to make sure I get the size right...

I was actually surprised at the quality of the thing when I saw it. Not bomb proof by any measure, but for the price all the hardware was solid, the lazy susan part was nice thick stamped steel with lots of ball bearing surface, nicely polished Chrome tubes and what stunned me most is the amount of padding on the stool top itself. This thing is more comfy than my ergonomic office chair by a LONG SHOT.... The size is just right too. I can slide them under each side of the workbench and the get right out of the way...

Sounds like they've improved considerably since I got mine... Good on you!

Yes. Not the Harbor Freight stools, the ones from Woodcraft.
